Three people were taken to hospital after a three-car pile-up closed off a busy main road in Solihull.
The A452 Collector Road in Castle Bromwich was shut by emergency services after a car carrying two women crashed with two other cars, spinning out of control and flipping onto its roof.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 2.30pm yesterday.
The women were freed thanks to the help of passers-by and were taken by paramedics to Heartlands Hospital as a precaution, due to the serious damage suffered by the car.
A man in another of the cars had to be cut free by fire crews and was taken to the same hospital.
The road was reopened shortly afterwards.
