A volunteer has told how the people of Syria are finding it increasingly difficult to get hold of basic supplies as the conflict in the country rages on.
Speaking to ITV Central, volunteer for Midlands-based international aid charity Hand in Hand for Syria, Noor Al-Dairi, explained how it's children who are suffering the most from the violence.
She spent the afternoon outside the ASDA store in West Bridgford in Nottingham collecting donated items.
People have been asked to give nappies, blankets, baby milk, educational materials, women's hygiene products, medical equipment and supplies, and baby clothes, among other items.
A similar collection in Birmingham has also been taking place at the Pat Kavanagh bar in Moseley.
There Hand in Hand for Syria volunteer Jo Tura, said supplies would be transported into the war-torn country from Turkey.
