Batsman awarded county cap after double century

Leicestershire County Cricket Club batsman Ned Eckersley has been presented with his county cap after making two centuries in the County Championship game against Worcester.

The cap was presented to the 24-year-old during the final day of the game in recognition of his skill, having amassed a total of 2,257 first-class runs for the club since joining at the end of the 2011 season.

County caps are traditionally given to players to recognise continued contributions for their club, and signal the player is now an established member of the first team.
