Around 60 firefighters were called to the Alpine Industrial Park in Elkesley, Nottinghamshire, after a large number railway sleepers went up in flames.
Crews from across the county as well as Derbyshire and South Yorkshire were called in to help tackle the fire, at the Nottingham Sleeper Company.
Investigations are ongoing into the cause of the blaze.
