Car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover has posted record sales for September, up almost a fifth on last year's figures.
Less than a month after JLR announced a second major expansion project in the Midlands, the company revealed it sold 43,181 cars in September - up 17 per cent on 2012.
During the first nine months of the year, JLR made 312,834 sales - up 16 per cent on the same period last year and exceeding the total sales figures for the whole of 2012.
In June, the company announced it would be increasing its investment into its new factory at the i54 business park in South Staffordshire to £500million, employing a total of 1,300 people.
And last month, the luxury car maker revealed a £1.5billion investment into its site in Lode Lane, Solihull, creating 1,700 new jobs.
