Campaigners hand in 23,000-name petition over rail line

Campaigners have handed in a 23,000-name petition to the government demanding the East Coast Main Line be kept public.

They claim it does not make financial sense to hand a profitable service over to a private firm.

Lilian Greenwood, MP for Nottingham South and shadow Rail Minister, told ITV News Central she hopes the government will listen to what passengers have to say.
