Racist Pavlo Lapshyn who admitted murdering a grandfather from Birmingham and planting bombs near mosques in the West Midlands has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 40 years.

Following the conviction of Ukrainian Pavlo Lapshyn over the murder of pensioner Mohammed Saleem and a number of terror-related offences, West Midlands Police has released images showing Lapshyn preparing for the attacks.

In one of the images, Lapshyn is seen carrying the bomb in a bag on a bus from Birmingham headed to Walsall.
