A newborn baby girl found abandoned in a bag in a Birmingham park has been named Jade by hospital staff.
The girl is "alert, happy and contented" as she recovers in hospital, West Midlands Police said as detectives released the first photo of the girl in a bid to trace her missing mother.
Baby Jade was found in a community park off Stuarts Road, Stechford, at around 2pm yesterday.
She weighs six pounds and is being monitored around the clock by paediatricians.
