Susan Patricia Edwards and her husband Christopher John Edwards appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court this morning each charged with two counts of murder.
William and Patricia Wycherley disappeared from Mansfield in 1998. Last month human remains were found in a back garden - they are believed to be the couple. Investigations revealed they had been shot.
Susan Edwards wore a black sweater and trousers, and spoke only to confirm her name, age and address.
Her husband, dressed in burgundy trousers, a black sweater and wearing glasses, also confirmed the same details from the dock.
