A campaign has begun on Facebook for the German Shepherd Jade which discovered an abandoned baby to be awarded the PDSA's Dickin Medal.
The medal was introduced in 1943 by the charity's founder Maria Dickin and acknowledges 'outstanding acts of bravery displayed by animals', normally with the Armed Forces.
