The Diwali Day fireworks show in Leicester's Golden Mile this evening is set to be the "best ever", a councillor has claimed.
Leicester's annual Diwali celebrations have earned themselves a reputation as being the biggest outside India.
Councillor Piara Singh Clair, from Leicester City Council, welcomed the annual festivities.

The fireworks promise to be among the best we have ever seen, and along with the wonderful atmosphere created by our Diwali lights, they make Leicester the place to be on Diwali Day.
