Thousands of people attended Leicester's Diwali celebrations last night. Diwali, the festival of light, is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs.
Last night's celebrations saw Belgrave Road, the city's Golden Mile, closed to traffic as thousands of people from all faiths and cultures take to the shops and restaurants before a firework display in Cossington Park.
