A pregnant woman from Coventry has died after being hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to London Road near to the junction with Abbey Road at 5:35pm.
The 33-year-old woman was seven months pregnant.
Family liaison officers have been appointed to support the woman’s family at this very difficult time.
London Road is a busy road and we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision last night.
The driver of the Nissan, a 57-year-old local man, was voluntarily interviewed and continues to co-operate with officers.
