A man from Castle Vale, Birmingham, has been charged with attempted murder following an assault on a man in Shard End which has left him fighting for his life in hospital.
Neville Duke, 34, has been arrested in connection with the stabbing which took place on Kendrick Avenue on Sunday evening.
The 36 year-old remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds.
Neville Duke has been remanded in custody and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.
A 21 year-old man arrested on the day of the attack has been released on police bail while a 39 year-old has been released without charge.
