Three men and a woman have been jailed at Southwark Crown Court today following an attack on a 78-year-old former Indian military general while he was on holiday in London last year.

Gang jailed for attack on retired Indian military general

Three men and a woman have been jailed for attacking and stabbing a retired Indian military general over his involvement in a siege in the 80s.

After a two-week trial, Mandeep Singh Sandhu, aged 35, of Great Barr, Birmingham, and Dilbag Singh, 37, of no fixed address, were sentenced to 14 years in prison for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Harjit Kaur, 39, of Hayes, Middlesex was found guilty of the same charge and she was sentenced to 11 years.

Barjinder Singh Sangha, 34, of Wolverhampton, had previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison.

Retired Lieutenant-General Kuldip Singh Brar was attacked and stabbed by a group of men in the West End while holidaying in London in September last year.
