Staff who have been laid off by a Birmingham-based care company which looks after more than 100 people in their own homes, have reacted to the firm's collapse.
Care People Ltd told around 60 workers at its base in Sparkhill at 1pm this afternoon, they'd be jobless from midnight tonight.
Birmingham City Council has stepped in to make sure care will be provided for the firm's clients, many of whom are elderly, disabled or who have learning difficulties.
Staff speaking to ITV News Central this evening say they are still waiting to be paid, and are worried how they will make ends meet over Christmas.
