Froch 'unlikely to have rematch fight against Groves'

Boxing champion Carl Froch looks set to deny rival George Groves a rematch, telling the Daily Express he is not interested in "going over old ground".

Froch, from Nottingham, controversially beat Groves in the ninth round of the WBA and IBF Super Middleweight Title fight when the referee stepped in.

And, despite calls from Groves for a rematch, in an interview with the national newspaper he said he would be more interested in pursuing a "massive fight" than facing an old foe, adding:

To finish in a massive fight would be better than going over old ground.

It would be an honour to fight in Las Vegas because I’ve never done that under the big lights with all the glitz and the glamour on the main stage.

I’m not motivated by money, I’m motivated by securing a legacy. Before I retire Andre Ward is on my hit list.
