Knit a jumper for a chilly canine. That is the appeal from the Jerry Green Dog Rescue as it launches its first Great Doggy Knit Off campaign.
The aim is to keep dogs without a home warm this winter and the charity is asking for knitted jumpers, snoods, hats and blankets to help.
More than 160 abandoned and unwanted dogs are feeling the chill - particularly short-haired and older ones.
Knitted items can be donated to any of the charity's five centres including at Algarkirk near Boston in South Lincolnshire.
