The aircraft described as being "in distress" this morning at East Midlands Airport had been diverted from Birmingham Airport, a spokesperson has said.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service sent five fire engines and one Command Support Vehicle to the scene.
The fire service were called at 5:20 and the incident was over just after 6:00 when the Boeing 767 landed safely.
