Rebecca Adlington gets a Guinness World Record

The Olympic gold medal winner Rebecca Adlington has swum her way to a Guinness World Record in a charity swim. She and fellow Olympians Michael Jamieson, Fran Halsall and Karen Pickering swum a 100 x 100m relay in 1 hour and 29 minutes. The old world record for the swim stood at 1 hour 37 minutes.

The swimmers raised more than £20,000 for the blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
