£320,000 has been given to Boston to help the town recover from the flooding of last December - more than anywhere else.

People affected by the floods which hit Boston on December 5th will also be able to apply for a council tax discount.

Businesses could receive business rate relief for three months - the council will decide the extent of damage to trade.

The Government is also introducing 'flood resilience grants' of up to £5000 to fund additional flood defences and the council is hoping to recover its own flooding costs through various funds.
