Police are looking for anyone who was sold fake tickets for a recent concert by Beyonce, during her European leg of The Mrs Carter Show World Tour which was in Birmingham earlier this week,

An investigation has begun into the sale of fake tickets totalling £28,000 for her dates at Manchester's Phones4U arena.

it's thought around 140 sets of fake tickets were sold for the shows on Tuesday and Wednesday,

They fetched more than £100 each and victims only found out they'd been a victim of the fraud once they arrived at the venue.

At the moment there is no indication any fake tickets were sold for Beyonce's two performances at the LG Arena in Birmingham on Sunday and Monday earlier this week.

However as people from the Midlands could well have travelled to her other dates in Manchester on the following two nights, the British Transport Police are casting their net wide.

Anyone with information about the fraudulent tickets, or who was a victim of the fraud, is asked to call Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40. In all calls please quote BTP log NWA/B5 of 28/2/14.
