Couple admit burying parents in Mansfield garden

A woman and her husband have admitted burying her parents in the back garden of their home in Mansfield nearly 16 years ago.

55-year-old Susan Edwards and her 57-year-old husband Christopher, appeared at a hearing at Nottingham Crown Court today where they each pleaded guilty to two charges of obstructing the coroner in the execution of his duty and the theft of a credit balance.

Mr and Mrs Edwards denied murdering William and Patricia Wycherley at an earlier court hearing. The Wycherleys went missing from their house in Forest Town in Mansfield in 1998.

Mr and Mrs Edwards have been remanded in custody. They will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court for trial on June 4.
