Smog continues to blanket the Midlands today with 'very high' levels expected over the East Midlands later.
Those with lung and heart conditions are being told to avoid strenuous activity outdoors and people suffering symptoms of pollution such as sore throat, sore eyes and coughs should cut down time spent outside.
