Midlands servicemen killed in helicopter crash repatriated

Two British servicemen from the Midlands who died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan are repatriated today. Lance Corporal Oliver Thomas and Flight Lieutenant Rakesh Chauhan were among five men killed.

Emotional father "extremely proud" of son killed in helicopter crash

Kishor Chauhan, Flight Lieutenant Rakesh Chauhan's father, has described his son as "extremely active, charismatic, charming and very witty" in an emotional interview.

Rakesh, who was 29 and grew up in Birmingham, was killed along with four other men in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Defence has called it a "tragic accident".
