An open-top bus tour for Leicester City will take place tomorrow to celebrate their Championship title success.
Thousands are expected to turn out to see their team in a parade that will end in the Town Hall Square.
It starts at High Street at about 2pm, with the players, manager and Championship trophy involved in a 30-minute procession, before the celebrations continue in the square until 3pm.
City Mayor Peter Soulsby said:
This is a wonderful opportunity for the city to show how proud it is of its team. The football club was very keen to celebrate with their fans in Town Hall Square, so we have put in place these measures to allow them to do so.
We’re expecting a huge turnout, and while only so many people can get into Town Hall Square, people can also line the streets along the parade route to welcome the bus tour. I’m sure people will want to congratulate the team on its well-earned success.”
The parade route is as follows:
- 2pm High Street
- Shires Lane junction
- Clock Tower
- Gallowtree Gate
- 2.30pm Town Hall Square
