Police searching for a man who fell from a canal boat in a tunnel more than a mile long in Staffordshire have found a body.
The man went missing from a narrowboat after falling overboard while travelling through the Harecastle Tunnel in Kidsgrove yesterday lunchtime.
The tunnel was closed by crews from the Staffordshire Fire & Rescue service and a major search began.
However police have confirmed this morning that a body has been recovered from the water. Formal identification is expected to take place tomorrow, and specially trained officers are supporting the man's family.
