Organisers at Download Festival have announced they will be renaming their main stage after Stephen Sutton.
Attending the rock festival was one of the items teenage cancer patient Stephen managed to tick off his bucket list before he died earlier this month.
Stephen - who inspired people to donate almost £4million through his blog detailing his battle with the disease - attended the festival last year.
A statement from Download bosses also revealed they will be pushing the fundraising drive at the event, which will be held at Donington Park from June 13 to 15.
At Download HQ, we were very sad to hear about Stephen Sutton's passing.
For those that don't know, Download Festival was one of the things on Stephen's bucket list and we were honoured to invite him along and have him with us at the festival last year.
In recognition of his epic fundraising efforts and for being an inspiration to us all, after speaking to his family, we've decided to name the main stage the Stephen Sutton Stage at this year’s festival. We’ll also be keeping the fund raising going at Download too.
Rock in Peace Stephen.
