There was late heartbreak for Derby County as they lost the Championship play-off final at Wembley in the cruelest fashion. Bobby Zamora scored a goal that could prove to be worth up to £120m with QPR's only shot on target in the 90th minute.

Bobby Zamora '£120m strike' - owing to the amount of money to be gained by achieving promotion to the Premier League - was QPR's only shot on target in the entire match.

But that goal proved enough to settle the encounter in the cruelest fashion for Derby's fans and players, who will now face another year in the second tier of English football.

Steve McClaren's men had the better of the second half after QPR were reduced to ten men when Garry O'Neil brought down Johnny Russell to deny him a clear chance on goal.
