West Midlands Police have raised £24,000 at a special auction.

All the lots had been taken from criminals in the region and items under the hammer in Dudley yesterday included Rolex watches, alcohol, gold jewelry and household goods such as speakers.

A Rolex Yacht Master design watch was the most expensive item, selling for £6000.

All the money raised is going to the Active Citizens Fund that helps good causes in the region.

West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson says the auction 'shows that crime doesn't pay'.
