Coventry gear up for 'historic' cup final at Wembley

Coventry City face Oxford United in the Checkatrade Trophy Final this weekend.

It comes 30 years after the Sky Blues won the FA cup and so winning Manager John Sillett will be pitchside and introduced to the crowd, returning to the venue where he and George Curtis steered the Sky Blues to victory in 1987.

He will also be a guest of the club in the Royal Box, alongside his pre-match role.

Former Coventry City manager Steven Pressley says Coventry City fans have truly earned their "day in the sun" ahead of Sunday's EFL Trophy final.

Despite the looming threat of relegation, supporters can cast the worry to the back of their minds when they take on Oxford United for a chance to win their first silverware in almost 30 years.

Pressley, who managed the club from 2013 to 2015, and enjoyed a spell as a player from 1994-95 says their support is second to none.
