The Great South Run is scheduled to go ahead as planned today. It was cancelled yesterday due to the high winds caused by Storm Brian.

More than 20,000 people are set to take part in the 10 mile running event.

Paralysed fundraiser Claire Lomas MBE, from Leicestershire, is aiming to walk the 10-mile course over 24 hours.

She will start her challenge at 10:05am, finishing on Monday morning on Clarence Esplanade.

The race starts and finishes in Southsea.
