The wait to see who Jersey's new manager is over, former Aston Villa Manager Brian Little has been appointed.

Little was already Jersey's director of Football, he will extend his role and take direct responsibility for the Island’s men’s senior and U21 sides.

He will be supported by local coaches Martin Cassidy and Paddy O'Toole.

The one time England international will have full control of all footballing matters, both on and off the pitch, and will be in the Island on a regular basis to take training sessions and watch Club matches.

The appointments will remain in place until the end of the current season when further discussions will take place with Little and his team.

Brian has been working with the JFA behind the scenes for the past 12 months or so but we now have the opportunity to use his expertise to the full and to draw on his many years' experience at the highest level of football.

Martin Cassidy and Paddy O’Toole have met with Brian and they are excited at the prospect of working with him.

Little’s first training session with the senior men’s squad will take place on Wednesday 27 January 2016.

“I am looking forward to extending my role with the JFA and to getting more directly involved in football matters.

I would also like to thank my sponsors, Smith & Williamson, who continue to support my work with the JFA in such a generous manner.”
