Jersey swimmer Harry Shalamon became the second Channel Islands swimmer in quick succession to become a national champion in 2015 - following Guernsey star Miles Munro.

Shalamon swam to success in the 50m backstroke, and also impressed at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa where he carried the flag for Jersey at the opening ceremony.

The teenager also made his first NatWest Island Games appearance winning six medals including two relays golds at Les Quennevais.

As Shalamon explains his desire to make the team for Jersey 2015 was driven by watching his teammates at previous meets.
