160 local footballers took part in the 5th Annual Jersey Football Marathon on Saturday, playing 12 hours of near-continuous 6-a-side football.
It was the most successful edition to date, raising £25,712, that more than doubles the amount raised last year.
All the money will go towards Tackle Africa, a HIV / AIDS awareness and education charity who operate in sub-saharan Africa. They use football coaching to educate young Africans about sexual health, relationships and HIV.
All together the 16 teams played a total of 288 twenty minute matches and 699 goals were scored.
