The Minister in charge of Jersey's foreign relations has told ITV News he wants the island's relationship with Europe to stay the same, after Britain exits the EU.
It comes after Theresa May wrote to the Crown Dependencies confirming they will be engaged during Brexit discussions.
Senator Phillip Bailhache says it's important to keep current arrangements in place.
He highlighted migration as an issue, explaining the government want to 'control who comes to the island, in the way in which we currently do'.
The Senator also said the tariff-free trade the islands have with Europe is something that should be kept.
