Ministers meet UK MP tasked with getting best Brexit deal for Crown Dependencies

Channel Island politicians have met for the first time with the UK MP who is tasked with ensuring the Crown Dependencies have a voice in Brexit negotiations.

It is after the UK voted to leave the European Union in June.

Robin Walker has told Ministers from Jersey and Guernsey that he wants to secure a deal that 'works for everyone.'

Our meeting was an important and productive step in our continued discussions, allowing us to understand the challenges and opportunities that will arise for Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.

This meeting was a good opportunity to build on the important joint work that has been taking place at official level between the Crown Dependencies and the United Kingdom since the Brexit vote.
