Jersey States has got twice the number of people using electric bikes than they originally planned.
It's through a new scheme which was launched in July and gives islanders £300 off the cost of an electric bike.
The aim is to get people out of their cars and using environmentally friendly methods of travel instead.
The government is working with local retailers, one of which says the idea 'can make a tangible difference'. Richard Tangy says they've seen an increase in people interested in the bikes.
Jersey Post now have a fleet of 22 e-bikes and are enjoying the benefit of lower fuel and parking costs.
One postman told ITV News they are also a good way to ease people back into cycling.
