Getting their hands dirty, ecology enthusiasts in Jersey are keen to discover some of the creepy crawlies living underneath our feet.

As part of the Wild About Jersey weekend, islanders are sifting through clumps of soil to first of all find, and then classify earthworms.

A team from the Earthworm Society of Britain are visiting the island to encourage islanders to take up the challenge of recording which types of worms live where.

Kerry Callaway, from the group, told ITV News how great it is that so many people at the sessions this weekend want to get involved.
