Andy's Story: 'Jersey is failing the most vulnerable in our society'

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, ITV News are looking at the extent of the problem and the impact on families.

Figures obtained by ITV Channel TV show that on average 10 people every year are taking their own lives in Jersey.

More than half have received help from mental health services in the preceding decade and a quarter killed themselves whilst in the care of States professionals.

One man, whose wife became one of those tragic statistics, says the system in Jersey is failing the most vulnerable in our society.

Andy Le Seelleur wants to raise more awareness about suicide and has spoken exclusively to ITV News about his wife Monika's suicide.
