Mental health charity Mind are launching a new project in Guernsey, to encourage sports teams to discuss their mental health.
The Team Talk initiative will create an easy way for sports men and women to open up.
Coaches will be educated about the best way to talk about mental health, and mental health issues.
It comes alongside calls from Jersey's football manager for more to be done to support mental health in sport.
Emily Litten, from Guernsey Mind, says they want players to feel supported and engage with their mental health.
She told ITV News awareness has been raised recently by numerous high profile sport stars talking about the issue.
It is also important to target sport because it can create a stressful environment, Emily added.
