Islanders in Guernsey have reacted angrily after five ducks were found dead on Les Tracheries Road.

GSPCA staff were called to the area last night and are now appealing for information as to how the birds were killed.

The charity is asking islanders to look out for any ducklings which may have been left without a mother as a result.

Hundreds of people have left comments on a social media post, describing their shock and disappointment.

More than £200 has been raised via an online fundraising page, which it's said will be used as a reward for anyone who helps identify the perpetrator.

This page has been set up to raise money to go towards a reward for the person or persons who give information that leads to a conviction of the person or persons who ran over a family of ducks in Guernsey.

If a conviction is not successful the money raised will be donated to the GSPCA in Guernsey.
