Griffins’ spinner Luke Le Tissier has been called up Guernsey’s squad for this Saturday’s Inter-Insular at the KGV after Luke Nussbaumer was ruled out with injury.

Nussbaumer had been included in Guernsey’s original fourteen to face Jersey, and to travel to World Cricket League Division 5 in South Africa next month.

But the paceman has failed to recover from an injury which has troubled him for much of this summer.

Le Tissier comes in after taking eight wickets at an average of 14 as Griffins retained their weekend league title.

He also picked up five wickets at 7.40 in two CI league matches.

He's worked hard to put himself back into contention since his hip surgery and has bowled very well this season so when we lost a bowler in Luke [Nussbaumer}, he was the next cab off the rank and I'm sure will do a good job for us.
