Guernsey GCSE pupils have achieved the second best results on record.

Nearly two thirds of students achieved five or more GCSEs, including English and Maths, at grade C or above.

The 2017 results are in improvement on recent years. The proportion of pupils achieving the so-called ‘Gold Standard’ in the Bailiwick’s States schools was 62.1% last year and 57.4% in 2015.

GCSEs are going through a major period of change and it is heartening to note that our students were well prepared despite the changes to the exam system in some subjects with more to come next year.
