A new care plan has been developed for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions in Jersey.
Family Nursing and Home Care (FNHC) say the Children's Palliative Care Pathway will address the gaps in service delivery.
Professionals from FNHC, Health and Social Services, representatives from local charities and parents of children who have required palliative care worked together to develop the pathway.
They say it will help coordinate services and aims to improve the quality of life for the child and their family.
Every child diagnosed with a life-threatening or life-limiting condition will be assigned a key worker, who will work alongside a nurse, to assess the needs of the child and coordinate services and offer support.
