Prenatal depression: What is the illness and where can you get help?

Photo: ITV Channel Television

Pre and post natal depression is when women suffer from mental illness during pregnancy or after childbirth.

Expectant or new mothers may show signs of pre or post natal depression if they appear more stressed and anxious than usual.

Feeling tired all the time is another symptom as well as feeling constantly irritable.

Often many women dismiss their feelings as normal hormone changes as they adjust to the changes happening in their body but this is not always the case.
