Battle of Britain Memorial flight will make appearance at air display

Iconic aircraft from the Second World War will be flying over the Channel Islands next week, despite fears the visit would be cancelled.

There had been concern that the Battle of Britain Memorial flight wouldn't attend the international air show because of technical problems with the fleet.

But engineering work on the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane planes means the aircraft are back in action.

The Jersey and Guernsey Air Displays take place on September 14th.
