Ferry sailings cancelled due to 'severe' weather

Condor has cancelled some of its sailings over the next couple of days due to poor weather conditions.

The ferry company say there's a period of 'severe' weather passing through the the Channel Islands and the UK over the next few days, making it unsafe to travel.

This means today's Guernsey to Jersey leg of its St Malo to Channel Islands’ service has been cancelled. Passengers are being transferred onto this morning’s inter-island departure at 10:30 instead.

Condor say that passengers due to travel from Jersey to St Malo will now depart at 13:10 and reach the Brittany port at 18:30, via Guernsey.

The Poole to Guernsey/Jersey sailing tomorrow is unaffected.

Further to this, the company is cancelling its services from Poole to the Islands on Monday, along with the morning and lunchtime rotations from St Malo to Guernsey and Jersey respectively.

To help accommodate passengers, who have urgent travel requirements, Condor is offering people affected the chance to arrange travel cross channel with another operator connecting with Condor’s services via St Malo.

Condor’s St Malo to Jersey round trip on Monday evening will sail as scheduled.

The adverse weather and unseasonally high winds forecasts have fluctuated over recent days. Clearly, the safety of our passengers is our top priority so the changes we are making are to ensure everyone reaches their destinations as quickly and safely as possible.
