A Guernsey politician is calling on the States to urgently revise it's policy on how long guest workers can stay on the island.

Deputy Peter Roffey says Policy and Resources needs to completely revise the law which stops workers from off-island from coming and staying for nine months, then returning after three months away.

Policy and Resources say a review is already underway looking at whether it needs revising.

But Deputy Roffey says the time for reviews is over and the time for action is now.
