Meet the pilots in this year's Air Display

Aviation enthusiasts in Guernsey can get a close look at the planes flying at this year's air show today.

People can also meet the pilots involved in the event, at Guernsey airport this afternoon.

Spitfire and Lancaster will be among those taking to the skies tomorrow, as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

There had been concern the iconic planes wouldn't be able to attend, because of technical problems with the fleet.

But engineering work on the aircraft means they will now be in action.

All the Pitts Specials will be on the ground: Wildcat Aerobatics, Twirlybatics, Rich Goodwin's red Muscle Biplane plus the Strikemaster and Jet Provost, the Global Stars and Team Raven.

In addition to those aircraft who are participating in the 2017 Guernsey Air Display, there will be Junior JOEY,the Air Search Islander, Air Scouts JP cockpit and the Guernsey Airport fire tender. There will be plenty to see but we do advise wearing warm clothing!
